United States Power Squadrons and Sea Scouts

This past weekend, January 26th, 2012 through January 29th, 2012, I was able to attend the United States Power Squadrons Annual meeting.  I met a lot of amazing people, all willing and able to work with the Sea Scouts to help us advance our program!

USPS programs and classes are exactly what we Sea Scouts can use to supplement our advancement programs!  The new Sea Scout Manuel (the updated version can be found at http://www.newseascout.org/support/2011-10-31-12-12-07) even states in the requirements for Ordinary through Quartermaster, that classes taken through the Power Squadron can be counted as electives!

So why not?  Take a look at the Power Squadrons website at http://www.usps.org/ and get in contact with your local Power Squadron!
